John spoke on Adaptive Learning Among Interacting Agents in Social Systems at the Symposium on Complexity and Advanced Analytics Applied to Business, Government and Public Policy at the University of Michigan – Dearborn on Saturday, October 23rd. His talk focused on improving the models that traffic engineers use to analyze traffic flow, and on similar models in other fields.

John feels right at home at Eastern Michigan University. He will be working with students in the actuarial program and will serve as the advisor for this program.

John moved to Michigan with his wife and three small children. They’re anxious to explore the beaches in Michigan next summer.

New faculty member - John Curran
We want to welcome Dr. John Curran to the Department of Mathematics. Curran completed his doctorate in applied mathematics with a focus on applications in the social sciences at Brown University.
