The Faculty News section contains news about the new hirees in the Math Department in the Fall of 2006. We also update the info on how well our faculty are advancing professionally this year.
Our recent Events include information about the Halloween Party, retirement parties and recent Putnam Exam. The reader can find lots of photos taken at the Awards Ceremony in Spring 2006 and enjoy the pi carols sung by faculty and students at the Pi Day Celebration in March of 2006.

Our Alumni continue to do good work out in the real world. We have updates from a few of our former students this time and hope that other alumni will send news!

In Dept News we are delighted to highlight two favorite EMU teachers, Drs. Joan Jones and Tim Carroll, who obtained teaching awards in 2006. We also share the wonderful news of a research grant obtained by Dr. Calin in one of the newest fields of mathematics.
