Nancy Oestrike

This past fall, Nancy Oestrike joined the Department of Mathematics as a full-time Educator and Placement Specialist in the Developmental Mathematics Program.

Nancy's mission continues to be helping students improve their math skills in order for them to be succesful in their college aspirations. Through her many years of teaching, tutoring, advising and studying mathematics, Nancy says she understands the struggle that some students face with mathematics.

Nancy's career paths demonstrate a sincere loyality to Eastern Michigan University and a love for the Ypsilanty community. She was head softball coach at EMU from 1996-2202. Prior to this position, Nancy taught full-time lecturer in the Developmental Mathematics program and part-time in the department of Mathematics.

Nancy completed a Master of Arts degree at EMU in Secondary Curriculum-Mathematics Specialist in summer 2006. Nancy also graduated from EMU in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in mathematics and physical education.
