Dr. Shapla is originally from Bangladesh and she came to the US in 2000. Before that she was a top student in matematics at Jahangirnagar University. She is happily married and she has two kids. Even if Tanweer enjoys Michigan weather, she is missing the tropical climate she grew up in. She is not only a nice teacher but also a very good cook.

Dr. Tanweer Shapla

Dr. Shapla obtained the Ph.D. in Spring 2006 from Bowling Green State University. Dr. Shapla's thesis, Inference of Population Attributable Risk under Cross-sectional Sampling Scheme, is in the field of Statistics.
