The Faculty News section is overflowing with news about how well they are advancing professionally this year. We also share the news that Dr. Xiaoxu Han joined our department this fall. Dr. K.G. Janardan retired this year after 19 years of devoted service at EMU.

Our recent Events include information about the welcome back party at Bette's, the tailgate party, the visit of Dr. Hogg, and Dr. Kaplan's book donation.

Our Alumni continue to do good work out in the real world. We have updates from a few of our former students this time and hope that other alumni will send news! We also highlight two of our alumni, Ryan Hansen and Kevin House.

Kevin House
, a 1995 alumni, presents important tips to become an actuary.
Please keep in touch.

In Dept News we are delighted to highlight Dr. Caniglia's activity, who recently helped EMU get a $1.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to begin a program designed to increase the number of math and science students.
Thank you Dr Caniglia for your very hard work at EMU!
