Tailgate Party
Drs. Ken Shiskowski and Ovidiu Calin organized a Department
of Mathematics tailgate party at the homecoming football came this fall. Faculty,
students, emeritus faculty and friends of mathematics stopped by for fun and
food. It was a good opportunity to meet each other’s families (Dr. John
Curran attended with his wife and three little boys) and reconnect with our
retired faculty friends (Dr. Don Buckeye and his wife joined us). The back
of Dr. Calin’s truck was loaded with food – Dr. Shiskowski brought
baggies so we could take left-overs to the game. Maybe this will be the start
of a new tradition in our department.
